‘Four precious wins’ Myongji University coach Kim Tae-jin “Thank you to the players who overcame the difficult game”

Coach Kim Tae-jin, who has won 4 valuable wins, gave the ball to the players.

Myongji University won 81-76 in a confrontation with Sangmyung University in the 2023 KUSF College Basketball U-League held at Myongji University Natural Campus Gymnasium on the 12th. He has already won 4 wins (2 losses) in the season and climbed to 4th place alone.

Myongji University coach Kim Tae-jin said, “The players overcame a difficult game and finished well. In the beginning, we didn’t prepare well, and it felt like our mindset was lacking, but our concentration was higher than that of the opposing team. I want to say congratulations to the winning players.”

Myongji University seemed to bring victory easily, leading by 13 points at one point in the third quarter. However, by committing turnovers in the 4th quarter one after another, Sangmyung University was allowed to pursue, and the game became close.

“I think the players were greedy. Team play should be given priority, but when the score gap widened, he became greedy and raised the atmosphere of the opponent. I know the players are greedy, so I think we need to gradually fix it.” These are the words of director Kim Tae-jin.

One of the reasons Myongji University struggled is the sluggishness of Jun Harrigan. Harrigan did not perform well against Sangmyungdae, which had a low height. He retired early in the fourth quarter, committing his fifth foul.

Regarding this, coach Kim Tae-jin said, “The players on the outskirts have to use the bottom of the goal, but they were busy attacking. Then the attack didn’t go away. This is also one of the parts that our team needs to fix.” 안전놀이터

The heroes of Myongji University, who struggled, were Lee Min-cheol and Jung In-ho. They were responsible for scoring in the 4th quarter and took the lead in Myongji University defeating Sangmyung University and winning.

Director Kim Tae-jin said, “In a difficult situation, they tried to do it until the end. It still goes back and forth a bit, but I am grateful for the concentrated play.”
