Ghanaian soccer player Ats, missing in Turkiye earthquake, found dead

Christian Arts (31), a striker from the Ghana national football team who went missing in the earthquake in Turkiye (Turkey), has been found dead.

According to AFP and Reuters on the 18th (local time), Art’s manager, Murat Uzunmehmet, recovered Art’s body at the site of a building collapse in southern Turkiye, along with his cell phone.  

Artz is from the Ghanaian national team. He scored 9 goals in 65 A matches from 2012 to 2019. He also played for big clubs such as Newcastle in England, Malaga in Spain and Porto in Portugal. In Newcastle, where he played from 2017 to 2021, he played 121 official games over five seasons. Artz moved to Hatayspor last summer after playing in the Saudi Arabia league. 청소년토토사이트

According to rescue authorities, the place where Art’s body was found was at his residence, the Renaissance Residence, a luxury apartment complex in Antakya, Hatay State. Earlier, the Turkiye police announced that they had arrested the contractor for the apartment complex on charges of poor construction.

The strong earthquake that struck Turkiye and Syria on the 6th has so far exceeded 45,000 people, including the tally of casualties on the Turkiye and Syria side.
