‘Love for Motivation’ Gimcheon Jo Young-wook, Kim Jun-hong “It means a lot to be called together”

Gimcheon Sangmu’s Cho Young-wook and Kim Jun-hong share their impressions and resolve for the joint training.

On September 4, the Korea Football Association (KFA) announced the roster of the Under-22 (U-22) national team that will train with the Hangzhou Asian Games team in September. In Gimcheon, Asian Games representative Cho Young-wook and U-22 representative Kim Jun-hong were named. The training camp will be held at the Paju NFC from Sept. 7 to 9.

Cho Young-wook said, “It’s meaningful and exciting to go with my teammate Kim Jun-hong. It’s a short time of three days, but I will have fun and do well.”

Kim Jun-hong said, “I received a lot of congratulations from people around me. The national team represents the country, so I will go with pride and do well. In the future, I will strive to be selected for the senior national team.”

In late July, Cho Young-wook had his first domestic training camp for the Asian Games team. “The last call-up at the end of July was short, but it was a good time to take a break and get our bearings. Even though we didn’t have all the members together, 메이저놀이터 it was a good reminder of what we need to do in the national team and at the Asian Games,” said Cho.

“This time, we will prepare to be more organized as a team than individually,” said Cho Young-wook. It is most important to understand what is important as a team. I will strive to improve teamwork.”

Unlike Cho Young-wook, Kim Jun-hong is Hwang Sun-hong’s first call-up. The U-23 team is set to kick off the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Changwon Football Center in early September, so the call-up is an opportunity for the goalkeeper, who was the main goalkeeper at the U-20 World Cup, to step up to the senior team.

“Even though I’m only going to train, I think it’s a chance to learn a lot from the seniors. I’m looking forward to it. I will do my best to stay fit and play consistently for the team and hopefully make it to the Asian Cup qualifying roster.”
