Man Utd Legends Fact Bombing…”Man Utd only signing older strikers”

Andy Cole has criticized Manchester United for signing only older strikers.

Cole is a United legend. He joined the club in 1995 and played until 2001, scoring a total of 121 goals and anchoring the Red Devils’ front line, forming a partnership with Dwight Yorke that became a fan favorite. In a recent interview, Cole criticized United for signing too many older strikers.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Cole said, “United spend a lot of money on older strikers, but then you see them in the same position a few years later. We are Man United. We have to be better than that.”Of course, if we could sign Harry Kane for the right amount of money, I wouldn’t say anything. But over the last five or six years, the players United have brought in have been in their early 30s or late 30s. They’ve done this every season,” he said.

“That’s why we (United) are in the position we’re in now,” Cole continued. In the long run, we haven’t bought a young striker who can lead the team’s offense for the next five or 10 years,” Cole said, noting that the club’s failure to buy a young striker has led to the current situation.

In reality, United have bought veteran strikers over the past few years, including Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Cristiano Ronaldo. These players didn’t last long at United and left the team early. This left United without a striker again. 안전놀이터

United are currently on the hunt for a striker. Despite Marcus Rashford’s performance last season, United’s goal-scoring record was quite poor. This was due to the lack of a player who could finish off attacks from the front. Even mid-season loan signing Butt Verhoeven couldn’t do the job, and United were determined to bring in a striker before the summer transfer window opened.

Luckily, they have been linked with Rasmus Højlund in recent days. The Red Devils have now reached a personal agreement with Hojelun and are reportedly preparing a transfer fee that could convince Atalanta to sell. Hoilearn is a young striker that Mourinho says could anchor United’s frontline for years to come if he fits in well with the team.
