Poland will play four matches in Week 3 in Suwon, Korea, alongside South Korea. Poland will face the United States on July 28, Germany on July 29, Bulgaria on July 30, and the home team on July 2.

Poland currently leads the VNL with a 7-1-1 record (20 points). A 0-3 shock loss to the Netherlands in Week 2 snapped their winning streak, but they bounced back with a 3-0 win over China. The Poles have plenty of time to make it to the quarterfinals.

They’ve also accumulated points in the FIVB rankings. They are now ranked 8th in the world with a total of 307.9 points.

Teams competing in Week 3 in South Korea are splitting their time between hotels in Suwon and Hwaseong.

On the 19th, the Polish players headed to Seoul’s tourist attractions. Outside hitter Magdalena Stasiak, libero Maria Stenzel, Dominika Pierzawa, and Monica Pedusio posted photos on social media from Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun Square, Myeongdong, and Namsan.

The team took a break from their long journey to Hong Kong to travel to South Korea.

The Polish team also stayed in Daejeon, South Korea, during last year’s VNL tournament, finishing Week 1 in the United States before traveling to the Philippines in Week 2. The team stayed in Daejeon to prepare for the VNL with the help of women’s professional volleyball team KGC Ginseng. It’s a country with a strong connection to coach Labarini and the Polish national team.
