Los Angeles Dodgers have chosen to part ways with Trevor Bauer (32).
New York Post John Heyman reported on the 7th (Korean time), “The Dodgers have taken Bauer’s designated for assignment (DFA).”
The partnership between Bauer and the Dodgers ended after 17 games.
The Dodgers said in a statement, “It is our position that we must conduct a thorough investigation into allegations of sexual and domestic violence through due process. We followed the prescribed procedures,” he said.
“We have concluded that Bauer’s behavior justifies his suspension as a policy violation. After careful consideration, we have decided to no longer have him as a member of our organization.”
Excluded from the 40-man roster, Bauer was put on standby. If another team is not found within a week, it will be transferred to the minor leagues or released as a free agent (FA).
The Dodgers are likely to part ways without sending Bauer to the minor leagues.

Bauer was investigated in June 2021 for allegedly assaulting a woman with whom he had sex. The Los Angeles District Prosecutor’s Office dismissed Bauer’s indictment due to insufficient evidence in February of last year, but the Major League Secretariat issued a 324-game suspension after its own investigation.
