The power of Samsung’s mound, reminiscent of a dynasty pitcher’s mound.

Samsung’s defense snapped a four-game losing streak. It was reminiscent of the dynasty mound that accomplished the feat of a combined four-game losing streak.

Day 2 against Hanwha in Daegu. Won Tae-in, the “blue-blooded ace” on the mound, pitched a no-hitter that allowed only one run until the sixth inning. He gave up a run on Jung Eun-won’s sacrifice fly to center field with runners on second and third, but he used his ace instincts to save the day, especially since it was his second start of the week after his last outing against resigned Hanwha (eight innings, six hits (one home run), four strikeouts, two runs).

With a 2-1 lead in the seventh inning, Won gave way to his second pitcher, Yang Chang-seop. The new pitcher retired Jung Eun-won, Choi Jae-hoon, and Lee Do-yoon in order. 안전놀이터

In the eighth inning, left-hander Lee Seung-hyun took the mound. After getting the first batter, Lee Jin-young, to ground out to shortstop, he retired Kim In-hwan on a fielder’s choice. Two batters later, he gave up a walk and a full count to Noh Si-hwan, but retired hot-hitting Nick Williams on a swinging strikeout.

Manager Park Jin-man said before the game, “When the team is struggling, a veteran player should be able to relieve the game. A pitcher with experience (in a save situation) should come in,” Park said before the game, adding that he would rely on Oh Seung-hwan to close the door.

In the ninth inning, Oh took the mound to close out the game. He came out to a standing ovation and retired all three batters, Chae Eun-sung, Moon Hyun-bin, and Jung Eun-won. Center fielder Kim Hyun-jun made a diving catch in front of the fence to snag Chae Eun-sung’s big hit, followed by a diving catch of Moon Hyun-bin’s single. Samsung beat Hanwha 2-1 to snap a four-game losing streak dating back to last month’s 27-27 loss to Sajik Lotte.

“All of our pitchers, 안전놀이터추천 including the starters and the bullpen, did their jobs well and we were able to win today, especially Won Tae-in, who pitched in poor conditions twice a week and showed his true colors,” said Park Jin-man after the game.

“The fielders also remained focused until the end and made fine plays on defense, especially Kim Hyun-joon’s body-saving catch in the ninth inning, which helped secure the victory.”
